In this session we will focus on 'Preparing Students for the new GCSE speaking exam'. with a particular emphasis on the read aloud, role plays as well as picture tasks. We will explore practical strategies to prepare learners to respond effectively to unprepared follow-up questions and to approach the picture task with greater detail and independence.

The focus of the event (organised by Discover the World Education) is on making the case for Modern Foreign languages (MFL) in UK education. Drawing from the blog post: "Making the Case for MFL in U.K. Education: Saving Languages", I will explore practical strategies for teachers and school leaders to ensure languages remain a key part of the curriculum.
