Gamification in Language Learning: Engaging Games for All Levels and Modalities


Description: This professional development session is crafted to introduce language teachers to the transformative power of gamification in language learning. Participants will explore variety of games and activities designed to support all levels of language processing, including phonics, syllables, chunks, and all four modalities: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

    • Explore the principles of game-based learning and how they can be applied to support language processing at various levels and modalities.

    • Learn strategies for designing and adapting games that target specific language processing skills, including phonics, syllable recognition, vocabulary chunks, grammar structures, and language fluency.
